As you flip through this keepsake book, it will take you back to a specific date in history, through the perspective of reprinted Times pages.
The 12" x 15" hardcover book is perfect for celebrating a birthday, anniversary, retirement or any significant life moment. It displays the recipient's name and special date right on the cover.
This perennial top seller contains up to 80 pages and includes a day's complete newspaper, whenever possible. Large newspapers, including Sunday editions, are edited to contain the primary news sections. If the newspaper from your chosen date was relatively small, additional famous front pages will be included to make the book a substantial gift.
Pages are smaller than the dimensions of a newspaper, so the type is reduced slightly to fit this book’s convenient size. Books from 1910 to 1997 are printed in black and white. Most pre-1998 pages are reproduced from microfilm, an archiving process that picked up imperfections on printed pages and diminished the quality of photos. Books starting in 1998 include color front pages and selected inside color pages.
A Times exclusive, Special Day is available with a leatherette cover with foil-stamped embossing or with a luxurious linen cover. Both leatherette and linen versions come in an assortment of colors.
Comes with a 2.5" x 7.5" magnifier and a certificate of authenticity.
