With the publication of its first photograph in 1896, The Times has accumulated more than a century's worth of spectacular images, making it one of the oldest and largest collections in the world. The archive’s extensive holdings include tens of thousands of images, from the dawn of the discipline to the present day.

The collection includes almost every imaginable subject, including space exploration, unforgettable moments in sports history, portraits of famous people, and scenes from around the city that never sleeps. The Times updates the archive weekly with images of contemporary events taken by the paper’s award-winning staff photographers.
