Your puzzle will be reproduced on photographic paper exactly as it first appeared, mounted with 6-ply white matting in a solid black wood frame and protected behind crystal clear acrylic. Your puzzle will come in a vertical frame or a slightly wider one depending on the date selected.

He is the author or editor of more than 500 books. He is also the director of the American Crossword Puzzle Tournament, which he founded in 1978, and NPR’s puzzle master for “Weekend Edition Sunday” since 1987. He founded the World Puzzle Championship in 1992 and co-founded the World Puzzle Federation in 1999.

Each puzzle shows the date it was originally published.  We also provide an extra copy of the puzzle and answers for you to fill in and test your skills.

The size and orientation of Times puzzles vary depending not just on the year, but also the day of the week. We try to maximize the image size of each puzzle and, as a result, you will receive a vertical or horizontal frame that looks and fits best.

A vertical frame measures 15.75” x 10.5” (outside dimensions) with a puzzle image  typically ranging from 4.5” x 9” to 5.5” x 9”. A horizontal frame measures 15.75” x 14” with a puzzle image of approximately 8.5" x 9.25".
