St. Mark’s Square is the heart of Venice, where everyone goes to see and be seen. One of the finest squares in the world, it is surrounded on three sides by stately government buildings and on the fourth by the cathedral church, one of the best-known examples of Italo-Byzantine architecture.
This Times-exclusive puzzle features an image taken by Susan Wright, on assignment for the newspaper. The photo appeared with a Travel article about Venice’s “overtourism” on June 16, 2019.
